Gucci Mane’s real name is Radric Delantic Davis. He was born on 12 February 1980, to Ralph Everett Dudley and Vicky Jean Davis in Birmingham, Alabama, United States. His father was a former US serviceman and powerplant worker and his mother was a social worker and teacher. When Davis was born, his father was on the run from the police for dealing drugs. His father left them, and Gucci took his mother’s last name. Gucci was raised by his mother. Gucci’s mother had a son from her previous relationship, Victor Davis.
Gucci Mane attended Cedar Grove Elementary School. He grew up in an area that had a high crime rate. In high school, he started selling cannabis and after school, he was selling cocaine. He started his career as a drug dealer.
Later, he joined McNair High School. Davis never took drugs for the first few years of dealing drugs, he first experienced drugs with a girl he had a crush on. After a few years, he was kicked out of the school for possession of drugs, he was sentenced to 90days in county jail and then probation.
