As Jordan’s agent, Falk played a pivotal role in negotiating groundbreaking endorsement deals, including the historic partnership with Nike for the creation of the Air Jordan brand. Nike offered $250,000 and Jordan’s shoe line, which was less than a current standing offer from Adidas. To match the Adidas offer, Falk demanded $500,000 and revenue percentage, and Nike ultimately agreed, and the deal was made. When Air Jordan was released, 1985 alone earned Nike $130 million.
