Asap Rocky’s real name is Rakim Athelaston Mayers. He was born on 3 October 1988, in Harlem. His father was from Barbados and his mother is an American whose origin is Africa. His father was imprisoned for selling drugs. He died in 2012. Rakim has a brother and a sister, his brother got killed in 2013. At the age of 9, Rakim moved to Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, and started rapping. He served two weeks in prison for drug dealing.
