Early Life & Career

Johnny Dang’s real name is Đặng Anh Tuấn. He was born on 21 November 1974, in Đắk Lắk Province, Vietnam. He attended Houston Community College.  His father was in the jewelry trade business. In 1996, he began working as a jewelry watch repairman in a rented stand at a Houston flea market. Later he grew his stand into custom manufacture and two jewelry repair stores. 

While working at a local flea market, he met Paul Wall. Wall was impressed by his technique of making grills. He is also known as the Jeweler of the stars. His jewelry was featured in magazines like XXL and Ozone. He also appeared in several shows like Super Sweet Sixteen, Spring Bling, The Johnny Dang, and Paul Wall Show. 

He also appeared in several music albums including Gucci Bandanna, Grillz, Wild Boy, No Angel, We Takin’ Over, And I Still, Ice Tray, Ice Cream Paint Job, and Stay Iced Up.
